TARDINESS and UNEXCUSED ABSENCESStudents tardy for 1st period must report to the office for a tardy pass. If a student is tardy from a class as a result of being held after class by a teacher for an excusable reason, the student should secure a note to that effect from the teacher and present it to the next period teacher. A 3rd tardy/unexcused absence in a 6-week grading period will result in a period of detention. Each additional tardy/unexcused absence in that grading period will result in an additional detention. At the start of each 6-week grading period, the tardy/unexcused absence count will restart at zero. Tardy and unexcused absence referrals may be submitted by teachers to administration and appear with the resolution as a part of the student disciplinary record. The most recent 6-week grading period started on Monday, April 17, 2017. The above policy will be enforced through the remainder of the school year.
